Windowparts – Design and Manufacturing Drawing Production.
Quantum Design was approached to work on an innovative mechanical design for a new glazed door multi-adjustable lock mechanism. The client scope involved taking a number of off the shelf piece parts and incorporating a proposed design with the restraints of the allocated door space. In achieving the client specification, a 3D model was produced for a number of existing and proposed new parts. The assembly was proven with the use of animated 3D visuals for client approval. From there, individual piece part manufacturing detail drawings were created with and overall assembly drawing and parts lists. Using our engineering skills and expertise, all materials, finishes and tolerancing were carefully considered in meeting the client final requirement and to enable the first stage prototype to be produced.

Cougar Coatings – Water Treatment Tank.
The scope for this project was to work with a long establish client whom produced an innovative water treatment tank that incorporates a new, unique European designed lightweight, but robust material technology. Following a prototype full size production model, a full 3D digital point cloud scan was carried out by Quantum Design. From this, we inserted the 3Dscan into 3D AutoCAD, which enabled the creation of a CAD 3D model digital twin. As this water tank is not small or transportable, our client was able to take the final 3D rendered visual and animation for them to show to their own Water Utility customer. In addition, we were able to produce 2D manufacturing details drawings for future manufacture production.
